Button States

Understand draft, active, inactive, sold-out, Test, and Live Payment Button behavior.

Payment Button states

The visible button behavior is controlled by its published configuration and available stock.

Draft

The configuration is still being prepared. Preview can be used, but a working published embed is not yet available.

Active

The button is published and can accept Test or Live payments according to the environment in which it was created.

Inactive

The button has been disabled or unpublished and should no longer start new payment attempts.

Sold out

The configured stock has reached zero. New purchases remain unavailable until stock is increased or changed to unlimited.

Test and Live buttons

A button ID beginning with btn_test_ belongs to the Test environment. Use it to validate the complete experience without collecting a real payment. Publish and embed the corresponding Live button only after the Test journey works as expected.

Keep environment IDs separate.

Do not place a Test button on a production sales page or assume that changing the ID prefix converts it into a Live button.

State checklist

Test how the page appears when stock is available and exhausted.
Keep product availability in FiatPe aligned with your fulfilment capacity.
Disable a button when an offer ends instead of only hiding it with CSS.
Complete or reconcile payment attempts already in progress before changing fulfilment state.
